As a new summer goes by, a new season will start in very few weeks. So here we are again, with our full charged batteries, ready to arrange our schedule of commissions for the new season 2009-2010 which we will begin working on in October :)

It's really hard for us to let you all know, that this will be THE LAST batch of commission spots that we will be ever offering. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, please email me privately if you feel the need to learn more about the reasons that made us make this decision.

If you still have a pending commission for the current season
2009-2010, please don't worry! We haven't forgotten about you. It's our intention to finish them all before October begins, when the new season will "switch on" :) Anyway, please feel completely free to contact us or check this blog from time to time to learn more about your 2008-2009 commission status or to let us know your questions and/or concerns :)

Terms and conditions for the 2009-2010 SEASON COMMISSION SPOTS have slightly varied since last year :)

1.- There'll be only 15 *VERY LIMITED* spots in total.

2.- There'll be no waiting lists this time. Spots that are booked and then not used by its owner, will simply not be done.

3.- Unused spots (booked but dolls never sent), will be cancelled and deposits will not be refunded. However, we understand everybody has a real life, we are pretty flexible with that. Don't hesitate to let us know if you might need extra time to send your dolls.

4.- We will start working in the new dolls of the New Commission Book for the season 2009-2010 from the 5th of October (Monday). Until then, all our effors will be focused on finishing the current commissions from season 2008-2009 that are already in our studio.

5.- There's a *DEADLINE DATE* to send the dolls you'd like to have repainted by us. It'll be the 31st of March, 2010. If for some reason you're waiting for a special doll to be released, and you need to wait a bit more, that is not a problem. But, please, don't hesitate to let us know previous to the deadline date :)

6.- If you are a returning customer a small *SYMBOLIC DEPOSIT OF EUR50.00* will be required to book your spot. However, NEW customers are required to pay *HALF* their total commission fee up front.
The rest of the fee will be due when customer approves the pictures of the new repainted doll and is satisfied with the work done.
These amounts won't be refundable if customer changes his/her mind and decides not to complete the transaction AFTER pictures have been approved and satisfaction has been confirmed.
In that case, customer will lose all rights on the finished doll (which comprehends Aerodoll's work AND the former mannequin, whichever it is) after a whole year of non payment.

(We have to clarify that we feel *very sad* to have added this clause to our terms and conditions, but we had no option. Please email me privately if you need more info).

7.- Dolls will be completed in a *FIRST DOLL IN, FIRST DOLL SERVED BASIS*. If you'd like your new Aerodoll to be among the first "renovated" ones to be back at home, we strongly recommend you to ship her ASAP. The sooner she arrives in our studio, the sooner you'll have her back at home :)

8.- Prices will be charged in *EURO CURRENCY* instead of USD (shipping is always extra). PRICES HAVE NOT BEEN RAISED IN THREE YEARS.

* Resin dolls with painted eyes (i.e: Sybarites, Kinetics, DHDs, Ficons and similars) will be EUR430.00

* Vinyl dolls will be EUR360.00 + an extra fee of EUR60.00 just in case you want a full reroot on her/him too. (AvantGuard dolls will be EUR300.00, as they are bald)

* Small resin dolls with glass eyes (43cm asian BJDs: Naraes, Unoas and similars) will be EUR280.00, and will include EXTENSIVE work in FACE and FULL BODY, priming, shading, blushing and sealing intensively every centimeter. Each piece of the doll is treated SEPARATELY.

* Big BJD dolls, please ask.

Simple tattoos in both resin and vinyl dolls are included in these fees, more complicated tattoos please email me to ask :) If you are not sure if the tattoo you have in mind is "simple" or "complicated", please email us with your motif and we will let you know ;)

** RESIN commissions will include (each body part is treated SEPARATELY): safe removal of the original paint (if any), extensive sanding proccess with microfine sanding sponges, appropriate priming with professional products, repainting, extensive airbrushing (full body enhancement, blushing), several coats of sealer
(minimum 2), mani/pedicure AND pearl+tiny metal flakes on neckline and
reparation of cracks/chips, etc... (if necessary and/or requested by
the customer).

** VINYL commissions will include: safe removal of the original paint,
sanding proccess with microfine sanding sponges, appropriate priming,
repainting, extensive airbrushing (full body enhancement, blushing),
several coats of sealer (minimum 2), new hairstyle, mani/pedicure AND
pearl+tiny metal flakes on neckline, pierced navel, multiple ear
piercings, rings in hands and toes (if requested by the customer).

9.- *COMMISSIONS SPOTS ARE ALREADY AVAILABLE*. If you are interested in reserving a spot, you'll find a temporary "Commission Book OPEN" section on our website: http://www.aerodoll.com.
Once those 15 spots have been reserved, the section will be closed.

10.- As soon as your spot has been successfully booked, you'll get my confirmation via email. Please remember there's a time difference, and it's possible that you won't get it inmediately, LOL, but for sure within a few hours ;)

11.- For updates on which is your doll's status of completion or which is your number on the queue, please *CHECK THIS BLOG ON A REGULAR BASIS*. Our working hours are NOT dedicated to dolls in 100%, so if you don't see your doll's status updated for a few weeks, we have not forgotten about you. It's just that we'll surely be drowned under a sea of helmets and/or bikes to airbrush, LOL! ;)

In the meantime, we will be glad to respond any questions you might have, please don't hesitate to ask. We'll be only too happy to assist you in any way we can :)

We're so very happy to announce that the next 09/09 at 4pm EST, 7 (YES, SEVEN!) amazing new girls will be available for sale in our NEWEST AERODOLL SALESROOM!

We've been very careful selecting the appropriate sculpts and renovating them *to the extreme* to create each and every character we had in our imagination. We'll have caucasian, afro-american and asian girls with all kinds of attitudes :)
There'll be platinums, blondes, brunettes, ravens, auburns and redheads... a little something for everyone, and three of the girls will feature full reroots too :)

The chosen sculpts are: Sydney (there'll be TWO), Kit, Jac, Glinda, Cinderella and Mei Li! YES! A new Aerodoll Mei Li will be there for you to see ;)

New printah in da house! :D

Our old printer was a pain in the back...
It used to work fine from time to time, had its typical issues (now I print, now I don't, now I spit your blank papers) but one day it decided to go on strike and has literally driven me nuts ever since.

"Hey, Moni... can you hear the noise?" said Rafa one night at 3am. "Euh!? Noise?". "Yes, I think it's downstairs, in the office room". And, certainly... as I opened the door of the office room, there it was, the old Deskjet had turned on by itself (the three computers were turned off) and was complaining because it had no paper loaded on the tray.

Enough is enough.
Yesterday we decided to retire the old one, and we got a new one that looks like the Enterprise main dock... full of leads, little displays and other thingies, LOL!

So, this message goes to all our dear customers who bought any of our Aerodolls (auctioned, commissioned or salesroom'ed) while the old printer was on basket-case more ON. Send me an email to: info@aerodoll.com if we still owe you the COA(s) for your doll(s), along with your current address.
I will send them to you right away ;) This new printer we have is GOOORGEOUS!

It's great to see you again! :)
After a whole month with intensive rain and thunderstorms day and night, here in lovely and "sunny" Spain, it looks like we're back to our regular warm weather and our typical happy mood (my migraines really leave me out of the game when the air pressure changes abruptly)...
Because the crazy and stressful life in our studio (when it comes to complete all the helmets that we're asked to do) has not stopped a minute since the Formula 1 (and other minor Formula competitions too) seasons started back in middle March.

Some time ago, I asked Rafa if we'd ever re-open our commission book again. He absolutely LOVED the great success we had in our two past events/salesrooms, and I was afraid he'd prefer to focus our sales on this method for the future.
He told me he loved to work on commissions too; because this way we're arrived to know the most amazing customers that have become real friends that we simply adore. Our events/salesrooms are really comfortable for us (specially with our new purchase-system) because Rafa can paint whatever comes to his/my mind: we can take risks, experiment with new techniques, use crazy colors... in one word: INNOVATE :) "But to be honest" he continued "we don't have that warm contact with the customer like when we work 'face to face' (or 'mail to mail')" ;)

So Rafa and myself had a long and interesting talk last night about the particularities of our new Commission Book for the next season, 2008-2009, that will begin in a few months, on September the 1st (Monday). And here they are :)

Unfortunately, due to the awful weather we're having here lately, that is causing me problems to take appropriate pictures of the girls who will be launched in our NEW SALESROOM, both Rafa and myself have decided to postpone the date of this event for just one more week.
So, the NEW DATE for the launch of our NEWEST girls (the amount of dolls available for sale there has not yet been decided, but there'll be around 6-8 there) will be the 5th of May, MONDAY, at 16pm EST - 21:00 GMT and 22:00 in most European countries).

We're so very sorry for the inconvenience, but it's always our main mission to provide you with the best quality we can achieve in our dolls, and that means that their pictures definitely MUST be perfect, as they're REQUIRED to show properly the features and versatility of each Aerodoll.

As our way to apologize for this sudden change of plans, below you'll find the "teaser" pictures of two of the girls who'll be available for sale there: they're a series of two Aerodolls that will come fully dressed by Heike Reich, whose mohair reroots have been masterly done by Sandra Rademacher and that, not only feature a full face and body repaint... but also something that, we hope, will blow you away... just stay tuned!!! :)

Yes!!! We're already working in the group of ladies that will make their debut on our upcoming BIG SALESROOM of Aerodolls, which will take part the next 28th of April at 4pm EST (16:00) (that is 9pm (21:00) GMT and 10pm (22:00) in most European countries).

The number of dolls is still undetermined, and some sculpts have already been chosen, BUT we truly need your help to decide others! :)
So, we will be holding a poll until next Monday 04/14 zero-hour EST (just scroll down until you've almost reached the end of the page and you'll find it) where you can let us know which sculpt you'd like to see repainted in our upcoming salesroom. Multiple choices are allowed on this poll, so you won't have to think in just one :)

New MINI-SALESROOM to be launched 03/17/2008 at 6pm EST :)

We will be launching a MINI-SALESROOM (we called it "mini" because only three Aerodolls will be available, instead of five as we did last time) next Monday 03/17 at 6pm (18:00) EST.

We'd like to give one more chance to those collectors whose emails did not arrive on time to get one of the past Aerodolls available. But, at this time I could not work in the "automatic" purchasing method (something like eBay's BIN), so the way of buying any of these new dolls will be the same as in our last salesroom.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience, and we promise that our next website BIG event (scheduled for April or early May) will be completely automatized :)

In the meantime, here you have the teasers of the three girls that will be available :) Yes! Not once each day, but all three in a row!!! LOL! :)

First of all, we'd like to send a A HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for making our salesroom, last monday, a big success :) All our girls sold really quickly and we were literally overwhelmed with emails, questions and very nice comments about our work. You are the best!
Rafa is so happy with the response that we're already thinking about our next website event, that will take part very soon, in early or late april, so stay tuned! ;)

On the other hand, it is always very hard to notify an interested person that his/her email has not been the first one to get in and get the chance to buy this one or that one of our salesroom dolls. So, trying to learn from experience, at this time I'm working to find a technical solution that will make of buying from our salesroom an automated process. I will keep you updated on this too.

We're so glad to announce you all that we will be launching our NEW

We've been working hard for the past months in order to create a group of girls that we truly hope will take your breath away. A look back to 2007... and friends

Hola corazones.

First of all, both Rafa and myself really hope you've all had a wonderful time on the holiday season. With your family, your friends... and the loving memory of those who couldn't be by your side.

We've spent these past Xmas days in Alicante, with Carmen and Néstor (my mom and bro), and they came to Valencia to welcome the new year all together too.

Rafa had a little health issue that made him stay in hospital for a couple days last week (he's now fine again and bossing me around, LOL!), and I also treasure each and every minute I spend with Carmen, since we live 200km away from each other and I get to see her very little, so I've been extremely busy. That's the reason why I haven't had too much time to respond to emails and play a bit on the boards.

Yesterday mom and bro went back to Alicante, and before getting in the car, Carmen told me some very wise words: "Monika, the best way to close a difficult year and live the new one without looking back in anger, is easy. Get a paper, write how you feel about a certain issue that has happened and now that your mind is fresh and some healing time has gone by, make your resolutions so that issue won't happen to you again. Then sign the paper, like a contract you'd be doing with yourself, and burn it. As the paper would disappear, make your mind, forget that issue and go on with your life".
When I told Rafa about this, he laughed a bit and said: "Well, do you think a whole packge of 500 units of A4 formats will be enough or should we buy a factory?".

It's all true.
Starting from the stupid prank our neighbours played on us 368 days ago (I will never forget that one, LOL), 2007 has become a whole lot of weird and hard situations that have saddened our hearts and wrecked our nerves up to the highest limits :(

So in order to save the rainforest, I've decided not to use any physical paper but this little virtual space, and about burning my thoughts... erm... well... I don't think it would be safe to apply fire to my screen IN the house... let's leave it for now, LOL! ;) You all, dear readers, will be the purifying sparks. It's not breaking news that I truly feel very thankful for all the time you take on reading my words: sometimes goofy and cheerful, and sometimes not at all, LOL!

This is the best way (erm... should I add " and least dangerous", ROFL) to say "bye" to moody 2007... in a field that, even though I always put my heart and soul in, it never gets a 100% of success: Friendship with capital "F" (a tough one, huh?) ;)

These are my general thoughts about Friendship. Probably nothing new for you, as my standards are so typical that they could perfectly fit the ones from any or you, LOL, but it's always nice to think about it, specially when so many new friends have been made this past year and so many amazing plans are arranged for the new one ;)
Here I go.

" I always suffer when any of my Friends (with capital "F") is having or has had a hard time, and he/she tells me. Carmen says I'm very sensitive about others's feelings, and it's not difficult to see me crying silently when people I love tell me about their hardest days. Sometimes I blame myself for not having been there to help (even though in most of the cases my Friend and I had not known each other yet when those issues happened) and sometimes it's pure empathy, as it's rather easy for me to stand in my Friends' shoes and feel their pain.
That's why I cannot conceive friendship with "opening hours".
You can never know when you'll be in need of a Friendly hand, or a voice, or a look!
Friends should not have a schedule of "availability" (of course, with the word "availability" I don't mean calling at 5am repeatedly! LOL!) and unfortunately, I've had to deal with this more than once in my life. When it comes to be Friends, there's no distance long enough that cannot be traveled when somebody cries for help.

Friends should stick with you in good AND BAD moments. Life is not a continuous "hahaha!", and it's said that a Friend is more needed when you cry than when you're laughing. Escaping from trouble is a smart position in 99% of the cases (and will definitely leave you in a comfortable situation that will save you from any hassle), but not when somebody is attacking your Friend. When there's someone out there to defend, two minds are stronger than just one.

Lies are NOT allowed when it comes to be Friends.
Not direct or indirect. Not addressed or flying free. Not about you. Not about me. Not about others. Not even to protect anyone. A lie IS a lie. And the ones who sleep will sooner or later start their awakenning... most of the times in a rather slowly way. By their own means or with a little help. But they will open their eyes for sure and the lies will be exposed. Lies can make a Friendship be in constant danger.
Lies definitely NO.

Something that really devastates me to the extreme is to know that a former Friend is "getting rid" of the presents I made him/her during our Friendship, now sadly ended for diverse circumstances. And if that is made "in exchange or money" (when that person doesn't need it), then I simply cannot find words in the dictionary to describe my pain. The action of selling presents you made with all your love tells a lot about what kind of feelings your former Friend had for you. Sad but true.
When a Friendship is gone, some keep their presents in a box and don't take them out if they don't want to until the waters are more calmed, others forget about them and lock them in the closet (no pain, no gain). And there's who look at them while bringing back to memory the good ol' days... but why on earth SELLING them? Discouraging for sure, but you know what? I won't stop giving lovely presents to my Friends, because my feelings are true."

And my new-year resolutions about friendship are:

"I won't let the bad past experiences discourage me, there's a LOT of GREAT people out there and I'm wishing to know them, love them and learn from them. I will always be myself. I won't be skeptical, and will give my trust to the ones who touch my heart, but at the same time I will be careful not to open wide inmediately.
And once the Friendship has been established, I will enjoy it every day and will accomplish my tasks and duties as a Friend as well, because both sides (giving and receiving) make us feel alive and part of this pure life we're all in".

It's been a long, long time...

Hola corazones.

Yes, it's been a long, long time since my last post (well, since Rafa's last post actually), and there's been a lot in our lives these past weeks :)

The first, and most important one, is that a little furry earthquake came to live with us 10/20. She's a blue longhair called Sushi (which is one of my favorite things in life), she was born 07/04, LOL, and Rafa just couldn't resist to bring her home. After all the hard times we've gone through lately: our "neighbour from h*ll", my tonsillitis, and the fact that we had to find a new home for Trufa (our very own boho kitty who lived in our garden) because we really were worried of her going outside (our neighbour wanted to poison her and her little friends)... we both needed a "little something" to look ahead with happiness... and Sushi definitely has that something.

The very first days, Johnnie, our 8 year old huge (blue persian too) furball wasn't really interested on Sushi, and he used to "fffffff!!!" at her all the time, but now things seem to have been straightened out between them, and it makes my heart melt to see how the big blue "cleans" the small one when they're laying together on the sofa :)

The second list you will find below, includes the dolls that STILL NEED TO ARRIVE to our studio so they can have their "renovatios" done. It's extremely important for us to create a perfectly organized schedule for the commission's season, because this will ensure every work will be completed in timely fashion. And, today, Aerodoll is not anymore just a hobby for us, but a job that needs to be taken good care of, and at this time we cannot afford to lose any spot that could be transferred to people who are in the waiting list :)

That's why we strongly suggest you to ship your dolls to our studio ASAP, so we can start all the process that begins whith their arrival. Rafa and I have agreeded a limit date of arrivals for the dolls listed below: 31th of December.
The dolls that haven't reached our studio by that date will, unfortunately, lose their spot. If your doll has been ordered to a third party/company/dealer and you still don't have it on hand, please let me know by sending an email to: monika at aerodoll dot com, so I can be looking forward to receive her :)

If for some reason you're not interested in your spot anymore, please don't hesitate to let me know too. Don't worry at all, as we won´t be mad at you! LOL!! Things, preferences and life is in constant change. But keep in mind there can be some people on the waiting list who would be extremely happy to get your spot just in case you don't need it anymore :)

Some of you might already know that Rafa and I are not having the time of our lives lately here in our hill. Thank you so very much for the warm emails we've received about the issue with our neighbours. We really appreciate each and every one of them.
At this point, Rafa and I are deeply thinking about moving from this house. Is it in our plans to sell our studio and this house and buy a bigger place that we could use as a work studio and home too. That would mean more privacy and a safer place for our little furbarlls. Fortunately, keeping at one side everything that's going on here, Rafa has found a way to escape from reality by working harder than ever in our Aerodolls. That's why I'd say that these girls have an extra of love and effort on their faces.

* The first one is Beverley, a Tonner Glinda wonderfully rerooted by Kim Miller that will be living with Miriam in Chevy Chase. Today is her birthday and we'd like to wish Miriam a wonderful day full of treats and relax :) The wonderful denim bustier that Beverley is wearin on the first picture is by Miriam herself, you can check her website by clicking HERE!

* The next one is a Tonner Glinda too, we've called her Troya and she will be available in our salesroom today 4pm EST. The pictures showed here are exclusive to this blog's readers! Champagne! I'm so very sorry for the lack of heads up about commissions lately, but we're having overwhelming busy days here! The Formula1 season is about to end (only two races left!), and our two times world champion is in need of freshly airbrushed helmets to wear on his way to his third championship, which, BTW, has turned out quite difficult after his spectacular accident in Japan last Sunday :(

Anyway, Spain in full is waiting for a miracle!
So I bet the next two races won't be recommended for people with a weak heart! ;)

1st Blog SALE: Whisper (Aerodoll Cinderella)

Hoping to avoid evilBay, we're offering this beauty for sale in our AEROBlog.
She's a blonde first basic Cinderella OOAK repaint, Rafa's favorite sculpt.
He painted her and Caress (who sold in our salesroom last month) and he fell in love with both of them. We kept her in our private collection, but Rafa's got a different project in mind now so she has to go to a place where she'll be spoilt to death, LOL!
Needless to say that she's pristine.
She's been displayed in a glass cabin for barely a month in my non-smoking cat-friendly house, and she's been redressed only for some pictures. Her makeup palette was inspired in a Maybelline commercial by Erin Wasson. She features: pearl white, aubergine and a touch of charcoal in her eyeshadow. Eyes are dusty gray/blue with hints of sienna and caramel, lips are deep coral.
She has been professionally hand painted/airbrushed, and she features a full face repaint and full body enhancement: breasts, collarbone, shoulders, navel, back, spine... etc...

MetroDolls: a wonderful experience, a beautiful cause :)

MetroDolls arrived and left.

But before saying "see you next year!", the organization made some anonymous children's life to be full of hope and better health expectatives by raising well over $24.000 with their wonderful doll event "MetroCouture" (held in New Jersey almost two weeks ago) for Shriners Hospitals for Children. I wish there'd be more people in this world like Marie, Kathy and the rest of the crew... things on Earth would really be different than they are :(

Both Rafa, Heike and myself feel *extremely* happy to have been a little part of such a beautiful cause, the experience has been absolutely wonderful and people at MetroDolls' crew have treated us exquisitely all the time.

We're so very proud to announce that Hope, our HR! dressed Aerodoll Sweetheart donation, made $700.00 at the charity auction!!!

I have to keep this short, because Rafa will arrive from work in a few minutes, and will start asking for dinner, LOL! But I just had to write a minipost in our blog to let you know how enthusiastic I am about the little Narindoll Narae dolls.

I ordered one back in April from Catrina, extremely enabled by LeeAnn's Alley, and I have had her inside the box since she arrived in June. The wait for Rafa to start working on her was KILLING ME! LOL! So, when I started to feel the desperate need of a dolly fix in my body, I begged and whined (Dear Kim... I always end up learning what's not appropriate to do, LMAO!) until Rafa, noticeably tired of my silly behaviour, suggested me to do her repaint in the tiny winy little bits of spare time we had in between the "helmets gallore", the "repaints overload" and the "my house is worth it" several little repairs we've been working on while on holiday :)

But... here she is... at last... my little Vette, named after my second boyfriend, our Corvette. She's a former tanning skin open eyes/mouth 43cm Narae. I love all my BJDs, but this girl has something very special, her body language and the naughty expression on her face have captivated us totally. She has been sculpted fabulously, you'd be amazed by the incredible details on her body... she's definitely a keeper, and... not sure when, but I will surely be adding a new Narae to our collection in the future :)
(Will definitely need a "money tree orchard").

Working in Doll Land has become a fabulous experience for both Rafa and myself. Not only because we're part of that small group of lucky people in the world who can feel proud of making a living out of what they most love to do. But also because we both describe ourselves as social junkies, and it's in our blood the need of interacting with people.

There's a lot of WONDERFUL doll-a-holic hooman beings out there who we've had the luck to get to know, in both virtual and not-so-virtual senses, for their interest in our work, their willing to share experiences/tips/pics/situations/etc with us, or (and this really touches our hearts) their care and concern when we're going through hard times.
We're very proud to proclame to the air (and to anybody who might want to listen to us) that we've found INCREDIBLY GOOD friends, customers and supporters in Doll Land.

To all of you, the hugest THANK YOU, you're all the most important and powerful source of enthusiasm and inspiration :)

But dealing with people from a dozen different countries in the world is also a continuous challenge for us (not to mention the fact that we're doing it in a foreign language, of course! LOL!). This task that, is not easy sometimes, gets a little bit less difficult to do when your main missions are to make people feel comfortable, satisfied and safe when dealing with you.
Think of an exam at college. You need to know, not only the correct answers to the questions, but also the appropriate way to express them and find them in all the data you've kept in your head after days studying.

And... what happens when you don't know the correct answer to the question on your exam? In that case, any input is highly appreciated, and boards like Prego, or this blog itself, can become very valuable tools to respond to any of our questions :)

That's why I'd like to ask you all for input/advice/suggestions about a kind of weird situation Rafa and I are going through with a customer.

Remember, the situation itself is the important stuff here, not at all the people involved on it, so this person will remain fully anonymous. It's absolutely NOT our intention to start any kind of suspicions or bad feelings here because, honestly, we don't have them! :) Au contraire, we'd only like you to play a double game and let us know what would you do if you were this customer and what would you do if you were us.

Hopefully your ideas will definitely help us to find a solution to our problem, which REALLY is what we're really looking for. So here it goes:

* A doll collector from overseas booked a commission spot for a Sybarite with us last November, and the doll arrived in late January.

* He/she shipped her fully insured and with a declared value of $519.00, so when the package arrived, we had to pay around $120.00 (EUR86,76) in concept of custom fees in order to have the doll delivered at our studio. I explained the doll collector what had happened, emailed him/her a scanned image file of the Spanish Customs document that accompanied the package so he/she could keep a copy of it, and he/she kindly paid for that extra amount almost inmediately.

* The doll collector emailed us some pictures and details about how he/she wanted us to repaint the Sybarite. When everything was clear as crystal, we started working on the doll. In late April we sent him/her some pictures of his/her new Aerodoll, which turned out absolutely amazing.

* He/she emailed us back within one day of receiving our pictures and told us he/she was "Wow...I am just well...blown away. My breath was taken away I must say. What a
fabulous work of art you and Rafa have created!". The collector asked us to paint a little tattoo on the doll, and so we did, he/she sent the first installment of a 30 day layaway.

* By that time we were contacted by our art supplies dealer and he warned us that he had noticed that the acrylic sealer of a group of cans he was selling was not in good condition, and told us that we might have (he wasn't sure though) one of those bad cans. We stopped inmediately using that sealer and ordered new cans. The order took 40 days to arrive. So in mid June, the Aerodoll Sybarite was ready to start her trip back home, and with two layers of fabulous ultra-matte sealer from a good can. I contacted the owner to let him/her know the doll was ready, I sent a picture of the tattoo and also a PayPal invoice for the remaining payment.

* The collector emailed me telling that he/she was having trouble with his/her PayPal account, and offered to send me the remaining payment in a check or a money order, methods that, currently, we don't accept (as stated in our website: only PayPal and bank-to-bank transfers). I kindly told him/her not to worry, because we could wait until his/her PayPal problems were solved. This happened as late June and haven't heard from him/her ever since.

* I emailed the doll collector in late July. Nothing.
* I emailed again last Tuesday. Nothing.
* I emailed again today. Nothing so far.
* BUT... the PayPal invoice for the remaining payment I sent in June has been cancelled by the doll collector today (!!!!)

We thought he/she couldn't have getting our emails (in fact, some of his/her emails had directly gone to my SPAM folder during all our transaction), and we even thought that something bad could have happened to him/her, so we were concerned.
But now we're really not sure. So, what's the situation now?

We have this so very fabulous Aerodoll Sybarite carefully kept in a box in our studio, and I don't feel comfortable. Rafa isn't really worried and is very patient. He's gone through a pair of similar situations in the past (10 and 7 years ago) with people who brought their helmets to our studio to have them airbrushed and never came back to get them or paid for them. So the helmets are now part of our studio's decoration.
But a repainted doll (in this case a Syb, that is a expensive one, whose repaint has been half-paid) is something very special and personal for the owner. So, does this person want to forget about his/her doll? Is this person abandoning the doll? That breaks my heart. And, if so, why? His/her emails seemed very enthusiastic all the time and, apparently, he/she loved the new look of the doll... so... what's up? We're completely lost now. And if there's anything else going through this person's head, we'd love that he/she wouldn't hesitate and let us know :)

So... here's the story... well... at least our part of it, the part we've lived. We wish we'd know what's going on inside this person's head, and, once again, it's our intention to solve this the fairest way.

I can't live with the fact of having an "abandoned" doll, but on the other hand I cannot just ship her to his/her owner if she hasn't been completely paid for, Rafa would kill me, it's his work and we do this for our living.

Yesterday it was impossible for me to write anything else, as we had the most delightful homemade dinner in our wooden pergola, and after eating, we did some drinking! LOL! Carmen and Néstor just left today (pouting) and poor Rafa is trying desperately to cheer me up. I'm always a bit down when my family leaves, but in my defense I'd say that it seems quite logical, I don't get to see them as often as I'd wish, and when we do... time just flies!

On the other hand we have little Rafa, who made me spend two freaking hours yesterday. I kindly asked him to remove a tiny black fiber that appeared on the visor of my digital camera, no big deal, perhaps a bit of blowing or using a little microfibers cloth, but he started removing parts of it just as a little Spanish McGyver... geez... if only any of you could have heard him saying "don't worry, honey, I KNOW what I'm doing"... I started craving Martini!
One hour later, he had to give up and suggest that we should take it to a technical service (MEN! LOL!), but this morning we've used his magnifying lense and looks like we could get all the parts back on their place... I haven't really tried it yet, because we've been busy preparing mom & bro's departure (pouting again).
(Fingers crossed... fingers crossed... fomhers crpdded...)

El final del verano...

"El final del verano", the end of summer arrived... and the end of our holidays arrived as well (sad, sad tune). It's been 31 days away from the raw reality of our routine, 31 days that we thought we could use to get some rest, some "doing-nuthin" at home near the pool... with one of those tropical cocktails with little umbrellas in our hands... but... NORRR!!!
Little Rafa and I are not of that kind, geez... LOL!!!
We cannot stop messing around on holidays!!!
We've been doing some dollies (that have been appearing constantly on this AEROBlog during all August), and we've definitely been working in our new home too. We moved here one year and two months ago, and last summer we didn't have enough spare time in August to finish all the "things-to-do" in our list, in order to leave our home 100% our style. Most of you already know, that when you own a house with a garden in the countryside, or in the mountain (my case), working on it never comes to an end! I've lived in apartments *ALL* my life until last year... and since we moved to our little hill I'm slowly starting to be conscient of *this huge truth: "the lawn always grows twice".

Changing subjects: we have Carmen and Néstor (mom and bro) at home for this long weekend (thu-fri-sat-sun), and I cannot be happier!
Néstor quitted her job as a real state agent at last. Looks like he followed all of our advice (for first time in his life) which resulted in a resignation letter headed to Tha Monster Boss. He's enjoying his first holiday days in years... in our house. He's in such a good mood that we all hardly eat, because while seated dining or having lunch we cannot stop laughing all the jokes he invents and all the silly situations he narrates... all the laughter makes me have a deep (but funny) pain in my belly, and lots of tears in my eyes, and once you're trapped by the "silly mwahahaha", you cannot get out!!!!
LMAO!!

Well, a little heads up in our commission list for 2007-2008 for all the people who have already shipped their dolls and haven't heard back from me with "your doll arrived" yet.
Please, don't worry at all, all the packages we receive are sent to our AERODISEÑO Studio address, but we're spending our holidays at home (15kms away from it). We use to go to our Studio twice a week, to check everything's ok, and collect any notices that Javi (our dear postman) leaves there of packages pending to be picked up from PO, that's why it can take me a few more days to have your doll in my hands, but trust me, I will email you all to let you know your dolls arrived fine :)

I'd better get dressed now, as we're heading out to the supermarket (Carmen's big homemade dinner is today)!!! I will try to write more in a few hours, which will include the full list of commissions, dolls that are already here, etc... :D

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING.
For three hours and fifty minures now, these have been the only two words that have crossed my mind at all. And I must say that they even haven't been thought by my poor overwhelmed brain... in fact, I had to borrow them from the mouth of my neighbour and her teenager daughter, who have turned into good friends of Rafa and mylsef (YES!! NOT DREAMING!! GOOD NEIGHBOURS AT LAST!!). We decided that we all three had to be together in front of the same laptop when Heike Reich launched her new line today, that happened at 4:00pm EST / 10:00pm in Spain.

What we saw on that 17" screen couldn't be more fabulous!!!
Heike's new line has two very different but equally classy designed sections for the discriminating doll collector: Vintage Vanity (VV) and Fashionistas File (FF) (note that, Heike takes a very special attention to details, on this case, she has played with both letters V/F, and almost all of her outfits of each section have been named in accordance).
VV features a very soft but sometimes daring, sexy and extemely feminine collection of fashions with slight bohemian, punk and retro flavours. Bright greens mix wonderfully with creams and flowered satins. And also pastel pinks and blues coordinate with victorian patterns or imprescindible denims... to name just a few of her splendid fabrics.
FF shows a more crazy, and sometimes futuristic, interpretation of modern fashion. Outfits like Foxy Fashionista and the No Jewels Required series bring us back memories of old sci-fi movies and comic-books featuring tight-dressed heroines.

Heike has showed us with her work that our dolls can perfecly wear a super-cute flowered minidress alone or over denim capris. And that ruffled skirts look great over lace leggings, creating simple or more layered sophisticated looks... the superposition of pieces and the 1001 different looks that the collector can create by mixing&matching the different items on her line are two great concepts that surely have taken Heike's creations into success.

And all of this wrapped in a simple, non-strident-at-all white virtual environmet, with elaborated banners, titles and perfecly clear pictures that show both the extreme attention to detail on her designs and the serene beauty of her repainted and factory faced models.

Special kudos to her "Mix and Match Gallery", a surely hard-work of composition, imagination and stylism.

And I cannot let the ocassion pass to post Charlin, the first Tonner Cinderella that Rafa repainted, and the doll that helped him to decide which his favorite sculpt to repaint is :)
We know, we know... we're so partial to Charlin. And surely it would have been more elegant to post here a picture of any in the rest of amazing models that "work" for our dear Heike, but you're reading the AEROBlog, remember? LOL! :)

Friday again, huh? Some of you might already know that I use to clean my house on fridays, and this might sound like a pretty normal routine for a lovely little wife-to-be like me (mwahaha...) but it's *definitely* not.
In fact, it becomes almost a drama each friday! LOL!
I *HATE* to clean the house, especially since we moved here, because this is a d*mn big house just for me to do! ROFL! And the worst part of it all, it's that I simply can't stand seeing a single fleck of dust on my furniture, or the mark of a drop of water on the floor, or even my slippers not being perfectly parallel inside the closet.
Yes, corazones, I'm a psycho of tidyness. A psycho who *hates* to clean but *needs* to see everything pristine... mix it with a blue persian and a snow white angora bun who are continuosly "blessing" the air with untra-thin hair wherever they go and with a Rafa who, like a man he is, he loves having all of his tools spread around just to sort out the different calibres of his screws.

In addition, I need to be all alone while cleaning.

Don't ask me why, but Rafa knows that each friday I need him to disappear for a few hours... yes, my friends, while cleaning I suffer my own personal metamorphosis: from "lovely little wife-to-be" to "the b*stard cleaning troll from h*ll"... and my hair becomes permanently applied tibetan lambswool (chiste dedicado a Debra, blink, blink, LMAO!) and I moan, and groan... and I sgrunt... and I roar... and I clean... but all alone, please, LOL!
When I'm done and he's back, everything shines as "los chorros del oro" (liquid gold dribbles) and my alter-ego is locked back in the forbidden closet until the next friday.

Well, looks like, today, my very own inner troll must be on hols too, because when I woke up today the house looked like a battle field and nothing of that really disturbed my sight at all. Or perhaps it's just plain lazyness, but I'm not sure I will clean today. I will wait until Rafa's done painting the last room of the house that's been kept "undone" since we moved last summer. He had the idea of painting in in pale blue and airbrush some clouds on two of the four walls.
Yeah... the baby room... aaaaaawwww... which has been occupied to date by Johnnie (our blue furball). Or should I say that it's really been Johnnie who has let us occupy the rest of *his* house? Well, if you have a cat I'm sure you know that this is more than a reasonable question.

Well... no cleaning today, so back to work.
Two days ago I introduced you our latest Tonner Matt repaint, so the remaining 2006-2007 commissions queue lists as follows:

* 1 sYbarite (2nd version) from G (Europe)
* 1 Sommers and Field Willow doll from T (Europe)

And, as I always state, the following three will be part of the next season's book, due to the fact that they arrived quite recently :)

* 2 Kinetic dolls from C (USA)
* 1 sYbarite (2nd version) from B (USA)

For the next season 2007-2008, we've only received two dolls so far from commissioneers. Please remember that the sooner you ship your doll and she's received in our studio, the sooner you will have her back home, as we'll use an strict first-come-first-served basis.

Well, the MetroDolls event is almost here and both Rafa and myself wish we could attend, but at this time it won't be possible, so, along with our dear friend Heike Reich, we've created Hope, a former "My SweetHeart" by Tonner, that will be our donation to the charity auction whose funds will be generously sent by the organization of the event to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Perhaps you might remember that, a few weeks ago, I already posted a few pics of Hope, but yesterday Heike's outfit arrived, so I just couldn't wait and I took her *official* pics that I show you just below:

I'm not very good at describing outfits because my talent as a seamstress is as big as Kim Bennet's patience (Kim in CA) when dolly-dealing, mwahahaha... so I'll really try my best by saying that: "outfit consists on a gorgeous pair of "short" blue jeans with a working side pocket and distressed ends, a cute white cotton top with lace collar and a fabulous overshirt in a flowered fabric that matches perfectly Hope's palette, small balloon sleeves and tied with a white satin ribbon, modified Kingstate shoes are included", OLÉ.

And before heading my lazy bum to somewhere else today, a few pics of Tiah our latest "Cherished Jac" (my favorite sculpt along with Mei Li), just because I haven't shared her with you all yet on this blog. Tiah will live in PA with a pretty extense bunch of dolly companions... first impressions can be wrong and she can look pretty shy and naive... but wait until she sees Mr. V... I bet she won't stop until she gets him... mwahahaha!!!

Hola amiguetes!

First of all, thank you so very much to the omnipresent Prego crowd who has given me such great advice in both proffessional and personal fields lately. You all rock! And I do really appreciate all the time and effort you've taken by writing your opinion about the different *silly* issues I've recently gone through... what would I do without you? LOL! I'm still a LITTLE BRAT who's playing the "hubbies and wives" wicked game! LMAO!
(I chose "LITTLE BRAT" because "SPOILT WHINER BEGGER" was already picked, huh Kim?) :P

So, with the valuable help of my dear Prego family, Rafa and I have decided to increase the number of commissions for the next season 2007-2008 from 15 to 22, due to the fact that a rather extense waiting list had been generated with people hoping that any current reserved spot would be cancelled by its owner. This is our way to give a second chance to people who "arrived late", LOL! :)

Please read carefully the following info on how to proceed if you're interested in reserving one of the new available spots from us.
People on the waiting list will have preference, but I need YOU to email me. I'm so very sorry for any inconvenience this new procedure might cause, but at this time I cannot email privately to each and every one of you, ask if you're still interested, wait for your reply and then "fill in the gaps", etc... so please LMK about your disposition by emailing me a huge "YES I DO!!!".

Hola corazones.

Rumor has it that Carmen (my mum) will leave Valencia tomorrow due to circumstances with my brother, Néstor (27), who still lives at home with her.

He'll be quitting his job as a real estate sales agent shortly because his boss owes him (and his workmates) a lot of money in concept of monthly salaries and sales benefits since may. Looks like this person [my brother's boss] has a serious problem of irresponsability and inmaturity that makes him spend in fancy cars and expensive clothes the money that belongs to his employees. Néstor is really frustrated these days and needs mum around to give him support and to help him to think clearly about his situation.

Well, her stay here will be reduced from two weeks to just one (pooh, wah, sob!), but I'm sure she'll help Néstor to vent a little bit and decide what to do in such a frustrating situation: working 10 hours a day and not being paid for.
Today, as her last day with Rafa and me, we've been visiting "La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias" (City or Arts and Sciences) in Valencia. Carmen, who loves to be behind the wheel and has just bought a new fabulous Volkswagen EOS had also the chance to drive our Vette, she was thrilled and a bit scared too! LOL!

* Caress and Tiah visited the tattooer on thursday and were shipped yesterday, registered priority airmail. They both behaved more than correctly ;)
* Matt from D. in USA will be done tomorrow, I will try to take pictures of him tuesday or wednesday as late (depending on the weather we have, which has been awfully weird lately, BTW).

From now on, with mum back in Alicante, I hope I'll be able to be online more often and if I owe you an email, please be a little patient, as I will try to respond to them all ASAP.

Hola pequeños búhos nocturnos!!

The title of this post might sound a bit weird for sure :D
But I promise it hasn't been chosen with any sarcastic feeling in my mind but every single word has an absolutely LITERAL meaning.

Yesterday evening Pacific time (deep "after hour" party times in Spain), Sam Danson opened her Empire Clothing salesroom that would also feature the première of her new line for both 16" guys and girls.
There were many avid collectors waiting for the time to arrive in both Prego board and Shari's Chat Room, and we even posted a few "play a little bit" messages (thank you very much dear Beckeroo) to make the wait a bit less "hard" for Europeans like me, who had decided not to hit the bed until our orders had already been placed :)

When my clock beeped 3:10am, the virtual gates of Empire's Mall were open, and hordes of customers worldwide, à la Harrods, with their virtual pockets filled with virtual money (and some of them with their pockets completely empty, LOL!) started unwillingly "attacking" the not so virtual web server that couldn't proccess so many petitions and, inevitably, crashed down with a little virtual scream... aaaah...
Yeah, killdit the server.

That is so very fabulous!
Can't think of a better example of both supply and demand or action and reaction laws! The fact that Sam's server crashed down yesterday means that she has reached the top, that people worldwide give full preference to her creations than any other thing they want/need/have to do (including such a basic function as sleeping is).
Because of her great talent, all the efforts she surely did yesterday for us, customers, and the fact that there was such interest about her creations that her server simply couldn't resist... CONGRATULATIONS SAM!

You tried desperately in every single moment to have everything up ready and available for us or find a "plan B" that could get us to our destination of placing our so-wished-and-must-had orders.
Girl, YOU rock!

Yeah, I went to bed at almost 5am and I've been up at 9am, but I can't be happier!
Will try to write a bit more after my well deserved siesta!

Carmen (my mum) will arrive tomorrow and I'm very excited :)

Hola!
The weekend has gone faster than a speeding bullet! Rafa yesterday spent most of the day doing men's garden stuff, and around 9pm we went to visit some friends, as we had been invited to have dinner with them... a fabulous dinner by the way :)
I've been taking a lot of pictures these days that, of course, I'll share with you all. On friday, our Caress hit the salesroom: veni, vidi... and gone. She went so fast that we couldn't believe it, Rafa almost left scape a little tear... he was really in love with that doll!

Tomorrow, Carmen, my mum, will arrive from Alicante and she will spend two weeks with us, I'm so very happy, because I happen to see my dear mum not as often as I'd like. There're almost 200km that separate us. I can't wait to show her our new patio furniture, my strawberry plants, the new roses I have... she told me on the phone a moment ago that she'll bring lots of treats for Johnnie, our blue persian. I promise to post lots of pictures of him playing with his new toys, even though he doesn't seem to like cameras as much as Neempie, Tha Mayor, Midas, James and the rest of furballs who enlighten Prego every day do!

Well, back to work, and back to the list of still pending commissions from 2006-2007, we'd like to introduce you to Siouxsie, a "Brunette Fashion Jane" from R. in Europe :) This beauty, Rafa's first Jane sculpt, will happily live in Germany, and I'm sure it won't be long until you see her modeling AMAZING outfits from an extremely talented designer I, personally, love to pieces :)

In addition, today I've been working on our next advertisement for FDQ's upcoming issue ("ART" that will ship in October), deadline is 08/10, so if you're an advertiser... HURRY UP! Of course, I won't show you the whole layout because, as always, it's a surprise, but you all know me and know how I love to tease you, heeeheee... so here you have a little sneak piccy ;)

One more pic I'd like to show you. It features Caress (Brunette Cinderella) sold in our salesroom last friday, and Whisper (Blonde Cinderella). Same sculpt but two different personalities.

Whisper was repainted to be sold in our salesroom next week, but after letting Caress go, Rafa has threatened me to use superglue to stick the doll to his hand so he can keep her... OMG... looks like the roles have changed, huh? The funny thing is that I had to tell him, pretending to be very upset: "Ok, honey... if that makes you happy, Whisper will be part of our collection... I'll make this sacrifice for you" LMAO!!!!

It certainly will be a HUGE sacrifice to have to carry with this doll in our collection, don't ya think? ;)

Hola guapos y guapas!

Officially, today's the second day of our holidays (whooopee, whooopee... hey!), and both Rafa and I agreeded that we had to celebrate it by working on some dollies we'd like to show you within the next days :)
My dear postman, Javi (whom we're thinking about inviting him to our Xmas dinner, because he's one more in our family), has brought me today two fabulous things: the widest smile I've ever seen in weeks and the first commissioned dolly that will be turned into a fabulous Aerodoll in the season 2007-2008... a lovely City Style Carrie who made if safely to extremely hot and sunny Valencia :D
So, dear owner of Carrie, if you're reading this, your girl arrived in perfect shape and she'll be gorgeous!

And, a message for the lucky owner of a Tonner Brunette Fashion Jane, our dear R. in Europe: your girl will have her photoshoot taken tomorrow or saturday, depending on how long my housekeeping tasks take me tomorrow, you might all know already that I become a Desperate Housewife every friday... I hate them! LOL! ;)

What else, what else...
Oh, of course!! BREAKING NEWS!!. Tomorrow, 08/03 at 05:00pm EST time (17:00), we'll offer an Aerodoll Brunette Cinderella for sale in our salesroom. She's called Caress because we were listening to Depeche Mode's song "One Caress" while finishing working on her, and the name just flew like that :) I must say that Rafa loves this girl very much, he's extremely satisfied with how she turned out, and it will be especially hard for him to let her go. But the truth is that, after the huge amount of money we've had to pay in our taxes in early July, we don't want to find out what comes after having red numbers in our bank account... LMAO!!! So we've made an agreement: if Caress doesn't sell in 5 hours, she'll stay forever in hot and sunny Spain :)

I promised I'd post a full picture of her here in our AEROBlog, so here you have it. The picture the teaser posted on Prego has been made from, both Rafa and I hope you like her as much as we do ;)

And, fortunately, we DO have another Aerodoll to share with you all. A very special one. An Aerodoll that will, hopefully, help many children at Shriners Hospitals, introducing you all our donation for the MetroDolls Event, a "My Sweetheart" exclusive doll from Cherished Friends.

Alex Forbes generously gave this beauty to us more than a year ago, and poor dolly wasn't getting the attention she definitely deserved because of our busy life. So both Rafa and I thought that it would be simply lovely to create a beautiful Aerodoll out of this fabulous Sweetheart sculpt, to name her Hope (as many children in the world need lorries of it to carry on with their difficult lives) and to give her such a wonderful fate: making of her our donation to the generous cause of MetroDolls.

Right now I'm working on a new website and I'm having lots of fun! It is doll related and we hope (the site owner and me) to be able to show it very soon :) Today I've shown the owner the layout for pictures and she loved it, so now it's just a question of time to have it ready :)

What an amazing weekend we've had!
Yesterday we went shopping and I ended up getting some clothes and a bunch of DVDs for our collection. It feels so good to go shopping for myself instead of the dollies for a change! LOL!
And today we've had a really relaxed Sunday, getting up late, having a refreshing bath in our pool, and paella for lunch with some friends... we really cannot complain, as this has been a fantastic pre-holiday weekend :)
Well, back to work, we'd like to thank you all for the fantastic response we've had to the announcement of our new season's Commission Book. We cannot wait to start working on your projects, and some customers have already pointed us a few directions regarding color palettes and dolly attitudes that we think are simply fabulous ideas :)

Some of the people who have reserved a spot for 2007-2008, are newbies to how a commission procedure with us works, we hope to clarify any questions or concerns you might have via this post, and future ones too:

1.- REQUESTING A COMMISSION SPOT
Ok, so you are interested on having your ideal Aerodoll created by us. All you have to do is email me at monika at aerodoll dot com and let me know, don't hesitate to ask as many questions you might have. We're always happy to help you in any way we can :)
You will be sent the commission details and conditions on my response to your email. If you agree to all statements featured there, then your commission spot will be accepted and reserved once you make a symbolic deposit payment of EUR20.00 that will be discounted from your grand total when your doll is ready to be shipped back to you :)

2.- OK, I'VE PAID YOUR DEPOSIT... WHAT'S NEXT?
Well, congratulations and welcome to the Aerodoll's family!
If you already know which doll will be visiting our SPA in search of a renovatio, please let us know. Include in your email/package any pictures, indications we should follow when creating your ideal Aerodoll.
It will be very useful to us to create also a: "dos and don'ts" list, where you can specify things that you'd LIKE your new Aerodoll would have and things that you'd NOT LIKE her to feature, such as: freckles, a certain eye colour, a certain lip colour... etc...
If you cannot decide about the look your new Aerodoll will have, you can always confide that to us. Just tell us about the attitude your girl should have, and the rest will be our task.

3.- NOW IT'S MY TURN I GUESS, WHEN SHOULD I SEND MY NUDE DOLL?
We'll be following a "first in - first served basis", so we strongly recommend you to ship your doll ASAP, because they all will be repainted in their order of arrival. If you still don't know which doll you will be sending, or if you're waiting for a certain doll to be released, don't worry, it's not necessary for us to have your doll tomorrow! LOL! :)
You can send her when you want, but, have in mind, that there might be other girls on the queue before yours in the moment of her arrival :)

4.- I'VE SHIPPED MY DOLL AND SHE ARRIVED SAFELY
As soon as your girl arrives, I will let you know she made it safely to sunny Spain, and will provide you with a reference number.
Check this blog for future posts, as we'll always publish heads up on these commission spots and this reference number will be useful for you to identify your doll :)

5.- WHAT'S NEXT?
You'll be notified as soon as we start working on your doll, and we will provide you with any info you might need about her process.
As soon as we've ended working on her, she'll go through her very first photoshoot as an Aerodoll model. We will send you a couple pictures of her, and she'll be shipped ONLY IF YOU'RE SATISFIED with the result showed in the photos.
Once you've approved them, payment will be due.
We will send you a PayPal invoice (deposit will be discounted from grand total), and she will be shipped within one week of payment received (sometimes, we need to apply a second airbrushed coat of sealer, and a necessary time is needed for it to dry completely).
We would be extremely grateful if you could let us know when your girl arrives home, and it's always our best reward to read your opinion about her :)

Ok, once this procedure has been deeply reviewed, here's the current list of commissions for the season 2007-2008 (as usual, no names have been posted here, only the initial of the last name of the customer, so you can identify yourself on this list). If for some reason you don't "see" you on this list and your commission has already been accepted, please email me and let me know, I'm a hooman and I make mistakes! ;)

I've counted all the reserved spots and we still have 3 available :)

We only open our commission book once a year. For the next season, we have a very limited amount of 15 spots (less than half the amount we did last season).
And once all 15 have been reserved, there'll be no more until next summer.

Rafa and I have been checking and updating our handheld device (where I keep detailed track of all our work) and the following commissions (that belong to season 2006-2007) are still on the works or waiting for their renovatio:

(To keep the privacy of the owners of these dolls, we will post no names but only the initial of their **last name** on this blog. This way, any client who's looking for info about his/her doll(s) on these posts will be able to recognise his name, and at the same time it will be kept private for third parties)

* 1 Tonner Fashion Jane from R (Europe)
In the works, she's got new eye makeup and eyes, but she still needs new lips, brows, a complete face/body airbrushed blushing and a tattoo her owner requested. She'll be ready for her photoshoot in, approximately, 10 days.

* 1 Tonner Matt from D (USA)
In the works, he's got new long rerooted hair in several tones of brunette, new resculpted jaw and nose, new whites on his eyes and new natural lips. He still needs new eyeballs, brows, a goatee and a complete face/body airbrushed blushing.
He'll be ready for his photoshoot in, approximately, 10 days.

* 2 DAE Originals "Monty" dolls from H (Europe)
In the works, they both feature new resculpted scalps and one of them also new flocked hair. Their repainting process will start within two or three weeks.

These last 3 dolls (2 Kinetics + 1 sYbarite) arrived quite recently and Rafa and I have decided to start working on them in middle October along with commissions belonging to the new 2007-2008 season. Hope both owners would understand that we'll need a few days off helmets and dolls in August or we'll go crazy! LOL! ;)

In addition, there's also a gorgeous Aerodoll sYbarite (2nd version) who has been ready since April, and fabulous diva is wishing to go back home and be spoilt to death! :D But her owner doesn't seem to be getting my emails (wah! shame on cyberspace goblins!) and the procedure is yet to be completed, so, if you are reading this and recognise your case, please email me! ;)

And before ending this post, here's a picture of one of our latest commissions: Ireland was formerly a "Brazilian Bombshell Daphne" who has received a repaint and full reroot. Four more days and we'll be on holiday!!!

Hola amiguetes!
I cannot hide my excitement!
Yesterday, while I was responding to the avalanche of emails from people who were interested on reserving a commission spot for the next season, Rafa told me that it would be fun to create a BLOG about our daily life at the Aerodoll Studio that everybody could read and comment. With funny stories, tricks about repainting, our concerns, pictures of our work and tracking info about customer's commissions, so they can have an idea of the time their dolls will still need to stay at the SPA before they're sent back home :)

I bet you can imagine the situation: it was almost 01:00am Spain time, I had my eyes fixed on the screen, and was typing as fast as my little fingers could... my brain was dealing with both English and Spanish languages (and a bit of Italian)... and my Collins dictionary was located exactly four centimetres away from my right hand (as usual). In that moment, cute little Rafa stopped killing nazis on the PlayStation 2 and exposed me his ideas for this blog in a really enthusiastic way. I panicked!!!
I looked at him with my eyes wide open in a 2 seconds break from work and told him: "I love your idea! Give me a few hours to sleep and I'll work on it!"
He told me I looked like Johnnie, our blue persian furball, when he's catnipped!!!
I do have these "hyperactive" strikes quite often, especially when I'm in front of the computer. I am not surprised at all, I got my first one when I was 3 years old and I've made them my hobby, my job and my way to scape from reality.
More than a quarter of century with a keyboard in my hands... suddenly I do have vertigo!

This morning, after my supermarket shopping was delivered home (yes, I'm a housewife from time to time too) I decided to give this blog a try.
And here you have the result!
Rafa is now at the Studio. He's working on the last helmets of the season (some of them are for Fernando Alonso) and the 1st of August we will be *officially* on holiday!

And before ending our first post in our AEROBlog, here you have a picture of our latest commission: Honey was formerly a "Check this Out!" Sydney Chase and she will live in the US :)
